Gervonta Davis recently brushed off the prospect of a potential matchup with Shakur Stevenson, responding with a sharp retort. 'Tank' is set to defend his WBA lightweight title against Lamont Roach on March 1, 2025, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
During a pre-fight press conference on Tuesday, Davis was asked if he would be open to the highly speculated super fight with 'Sugar' in the future. The 30-year-old Maryland native swiftly shot down the idea, dismissing Stevenson's career accomplishments:
"What has Shakur done? What has he done in the sport? He hasn’t done anything. The young ones are looking better than him. Keyshawn [Davis] is looking way better than [him]. You keep mentioning his name, but he hasn’t done nothing... Why do you keep saying his name for?"
